Opened in 1983, Bellina Chocolate House stocks over 150 varieties of chocolates, from truffles to gananche to brownies. Shoppers can also enjoy a coffee whilst they are browsing through the vast array of goods available.
Said to be the first independent chocolate shop in Cambridge, the store was taken over by Amit Lodhia (who describes himself as a chocoholic with a background in science!) in May 2012 and continues to go from strength to strength as the business provides local people with beautiful gifts or indeed, treats for themselves.
Amit says that providing a personal touch to those who visit the shop is what makes independent businesses stand out, believing that this experience is really important to Bellina's success.
If people enjoy the feeling of being a child in a sweet shop whilst they are in the shop, it makes Amit's day. In his own words, "chocolate makes everything better".
