01.Arnold and Henderson

"This is my favourite lunch spot in London. They serve British, seasonal fare and change their menu every day. Their courtyard is the perfect place to spend a summer afternoon. Straw hats line their coat racks and all guests are encouraged to wear them – it’s like being in Provence. In the winter they shut the canteen doors and it becomes incredibly warm and cosy."

"I always order the labneh with pistachio and figs off the main menu, mopped up with some flatbreads – it’s a slice of heaven. Samantha and Samuel Clark who own Morito have a more formal restaurant ’Moro’ on Exmouth Market, Clerkenwell. Its younger sister Morito incorporates all the great elements from the original in a more relaxed and fun environment."

03.Nelly Duff

"This little print shop and framers has some really great pieces and also do listed runs on prints, meaning you can pick up something really special. A few years ago I had six large photographs framed by these guys and they look amazing. Try and visit on a Sunday when Columbia Road flower market is on, the streets are filled with flower venders, it’s like going back in time."

04.Grace and Thorn

"I’m told that Nik was one of the first people to open a florist that wasn’t just about flowers! Indoor and outdoor plants fill the gorgeous shop on Hackney Road with some amazing plant pots and macrame. Grace and Thorn also do some really interesting workshops and courses, so if you’re interested in floristry or just fancy doing something different, this is for you."

"This little place is an amazing new Indian restaurant, a stones throw from Old Spitalfields market. Their spicy venison and vermicelli doughnut is mind blowing! I went recently and it was packed out – the hustle and bustle makes it a great place for dinner with a friend, or a date. It feels off the beaten track too, so at the moment it feels like an insider’s secret."
